Ashima
For years Ashima has studied Hindustan and Carnatic music, mantras, Vedic singing and Indian dance (bharat natyam) in India.She teaches all these disciplines as well as body-voice consciousness techniques applied to the performing arts.
With a Western classical music background, she uses the languages of both Western and Eastern music combining ragas with liturgical and Gregorian scales. This approach rigorously adheres to the principles that form the foundation to the theory of the power of sound with particular attention to the appropriate use of mantras and correct musical modes.
She has performed in Europe and India and frequently holds several seminars and workshops.
